Getting around in Salina is easy: there are few roads and the risk of getting lost is practically nonexistent.
\nWithin the towns, you can easily move around on foot<\/strong>. Frangimare Villas<\/a> are just a few steps away from shops and restaurants, and the picturesque Scario Beach is a fifteen-minute walk away.<\/p>\n

To tour the island, the best method, used by locals, is the electric scooter<\/strong>: quiet and eco-friendly, it allows you to fully enjoy the colors and scents and – not to be overlooked – it eliminates parking stress. Santa Marina, Pollara, and Rinella are reachable in fifteen minutes, and driving under the starry sky on an island without light pollution is a spectacle that alone is worth the rental.

However, we know not everyone is comfortable on two wheels, so here are some other useful suggestions for getting around in Salina.<\/p>\n

A car<\/strong> is a good option for families. You can rent one directly on the island or bring your own by ferry. Remember, though, that from June to September, you can only bring your car ashore if your stay on the island is at least seven days.<\/p>\n

The taxi<\/strong> network works well, but be aware, it’s not the same service as in big cities: it’s always better to book them in advance because otherwise, you might not find any available. At Frangimare, we have a concierge service<\/a> that can assist you in the best way possible.<\/p>\n

An economical and reliable option is the bus<\/strong><\/a>: the rides aren’t very frequent, but with a bit of planning, you can get around without problems.
\nIf you’re thinking about cycling, currently in Salina, electric bike rentals aren’t very common; the island’s climbs and descents can make cycling strenuous, especially under the summer sun.<\/p>\n
